diansm1.jpg DIANA (Diane Adams), founder of Zeina Productions, is a 25+year veteran dance teacher and performer who began her career in Western New York where she was a member of a performing and touring ballet/ethnic dance troupe under the direction of Natalie Piatov, formerly with the Ballet Russe and National Ballet of Denmark. Diana began studies in Middle Eastern dance in the ‘70s and continues to study with major Middle Eastern dancers to sharpen her skills. She has taught dance since age 15 and enjoys introducing all age groups to this wonderful art. Diana was a regular club performer during the ‘80s and ‘90s, and now devotes herself to teaching and performing at selected venues. In 2003, she was granted permission from Yasmina Ramzy of Toronto, Canada, to recreate Yasmina’s dance, “Venus,” from the Descent of Ishtar Ballet, which was critically acclaimed, for members of her performance group, Mezza. Diana is versed in many dance forms and brings this expertise to the art of belly dance.
azahveil.jpg AZAH KAHINA is Artistic Director and Instructor for Company Mezza. She has been involved in Middle Eastern dance since 1998 and has also been the featured instructor at The Knowledge Shop for a number of years . Noted for her attention to detail and sensuous movements, she lends her expertise to teaching students basics of this beautiful dance form. Her innovative costume and make-up design for Company Mezza’s performance of Yasmina Ramzy’s choreography, “Venus” from The Decent of Ishtar Ballet, gained her acclaim from Yasmina’s Arabesque Dance Company. In addition to being a Middle Eastern dance enthusiast, she is a graphic designer and artist. All of these skills are utilized in her unique way of presenting and instructing in the art of belly dance.
